Loch Ken is situated north of Castle Douglas on the A713.
For years Loch Ken has been a popular destination providing excellent fishing and an abundance of attractions from the recently launched Galloway Kite Trail to water sports including sailing, waterskiing to name but a few with two marinas offering excellent facilities. Loch Ken has always been renowned for its fishing, especially coarse and pike and boats are available from the marinas.
This
11 mile stretch of water provides an experience for all, bird watching,
walks, picnic areas or just a pleasant drive around Loch Ken, you will be inspired by this scenic loch which will bring you back time and time again.
We are pleased to be able to offer fishing on an exclusive mile and a half stretch of Loch Ken situated between Parton and Crossmichael.

With a limited number of permits available throughout the year, this stretch of water is certainly not over fished.

West Bank Coarse Fishing
This 1½ mile stretch of water is New Galloway side of Loch Ken on the A762 towards Mossdale.
On leaving New Galloway
the permitted stretch starts as soon as the loch is seen on your left
and runs by the road until Bennan Viewpoint on the right.
There
are several excellent bays along this stretch, with numerous large
sized pike lurking around the lillies giving you some very good runs on
dead bait.
Loch Ken is an excellent expanse of water for avid coarse anglers.
